Napoleonic Battles & Civil War Battles Updates

Happy Friday!

We had not planned on releasing another round of updates so soon for either of these series, but some pesky bugs were found that warranted us to act quickly. Here's the details.

In Napoleonic Battles a crash bug was discovered in certain situations when a player executed a Skirmisher Push order. Not sure how this slipped through testing, but it did, and we can't let this sit out in the wild, so it is now squashed. This also necessitated altering the way the Movement Threat Disorder option rule worked, so now, if a Disordered unit fails the threat check on a move, it will simply remain Disordered instead of Routing.

Additionally, Supply Wagons were not following scripted orders when they existed—a sizeable problem when playing against the AI.

Finally, some issues were discovered in the spotting code which ignored some information in certain circumstances.

That last item also pertained to Civil War Battles, so the spotting code has also received an adjustment there. Additionally, the Reachable Hexes command had some issues which required adjustment.

All of these things were items we did not want to let linger for months, so the best course of action was to get a further update round out asap.

Note: If you have been keeping up with applying the updates as they come out, then you can apply this round to an ongoing game and continue without issue.

If you are not current, it is suggested that you finish your ongoing match before applying this update.

But as noted, these were things that could not be left in circulation. We do not expect to have a further round of updates for these two series again this year... knock on wood.  :-)
